What you'll learn
Tactical Firearm Handling

You’ll master the operational use of handguns and shotguns, from drawing and ready positions to tactical reloading. We focus on maintaining accuracy under pressure and clearing malfunctions to ensure absolute readiness in high-stress environments.

High-Risk Response

Approaching a crisis requires precision. We teach you how to respond to home and business alarms, execute tactical entries safely, and establish control during volatile situations like robberies or hostage scenarios to secure the scene.

Legal Compliance & Force

Understanding the Firearms Control Act is critical. You will learn the strict rules of engagement, the principles of proportional self-defense, and the legal implications of lethal force to ensure every action you take is within the law.

Communication & Coordination

Clear communication saves lives. You’ll learn advanced radio protocols to coordinate effectively with SAPS, metro police, and internal teams, ensuring seamless incident escalation and accurate post-incident documentation.

Defensive Driving Tactics

Your vehicle is a tactical tool. We cover essential vehicle positioning during response, safe arrival and exit protocols, and emergency driving awareness to ensure you can navigate into and out of danger zones safely.

Situational Awareness

Theory isn’t enough. You will participate in live-fire drills, tactical room clearing, and simulated break-ins. These real-world scenarios mimic actual operations to ensure you are confident and battle-ready for deployment.

Professional Outcome

Graduates leave fully qualified to work as Armed Response Officers and Tactical Personnel. You will possess the confidence to handle firearms during emergencies and the discipline to manage high-pressure situations effectively.
